Math!

This week we have been learning about measurable attributes! We discovered we can measure with just about anything as long as it is the same size and shape! 

Here we are weighing different objects! 

We are comparing to see what weighs more and what weighs less!

 Here we are measuring the capacity of different size containers! We are trying to see what object will hold the most! 

Even though area is not an one that we have to know, we wanted to practice anyway! Here we are measuring the area of each face of the cube!

The Mitten By Jan Brett

We have been reading stories by Jan Brett this week! She is a great children's author! On Monday we read and acted out "The Mitten"!

Sight Word Snowman

We have really been working hard on learning to read and spell our sight words correctly! To help us learn we have been listening to two Harry Kindergarten Sight word songs that you can listen to at home! I will attach them to the bottom of this post for you to use! 

Math Update:

We are doing a little review in math this week: 

Here we are sorting, counting and creating a digital representation of the data we collected!   

 Here we are "decomposing" 10 marshmallows. Decomposing is a big word for "breaking apart". 

 Here we are sorting and counting box tops! Kindergarten gets to count them for the whole school!
