Hedgie Visits K4!
For the past 2 days a little, pokey friend from Ms. Police's 2nd grade class has been visiting! The reason for his visit is because in every one of Jan Brett's stories there is mention of a hedgehog, so of course we had to see one! The children got to observe Hedgie and most absolutely loved it, while others were a little on the scared side. :)
Mystery Reader
A big, "Thank you!" goes out to Victoria's dad, Mr. Osmond for coming to read to us today! Mr. Osmond is from Australia and read two Australian books to us! He not only read, but also showed us some Australian money and gave each child a pencil with a koala bear on the top. The pencil came straight from a recent trip made to Australia over the holidays by Victoria and her family!
"The Mitten"
Our story focus the past couple days has been, "The Mitten" by Jan Brett. Today the students acted out the story while Miss Lukert read! They loved it so much, they wanted to do it again and agian!
