Today, k4 got to spend some extra, FUN time in the Library! One of our favorite places at Cottonwood Creek! Your kiddos worked hard to earn this extra time. This was a teamwork, reward for good behavior and great citizenship! Go k4! Keep up all the GREAT work! Also, we want to send a special, “Thank you!" to sweet, Ms. Goodwin for making us cookies and taking the time to make our day a special one!

Eggciting Stuff in K4!
As you can see this week we are discussing eggs!
Today, we began our very own EGGciting Experiment! We loved it! There is a group of classrooms all over the world that are doing the same Eggsperiment! The question posed, are eggs the same size in all different parts of the world? Everyone involved in the experiment is using a webpage to record observations of what happened during the experiment so that everyone involved can see. You can see too!
Join us in an experiment to see if eggs are the same all over the world at Eggciting Experiment

A T-Rex Foot...
Today, we discovered that a T-Rex foot is 3 1/2 feet long! We took some time and predicted how many of our shoes would fit inside! Our conclusion was that 41 of our shoes fit!

Dinosaur Websites:
A virtual dinosaur dig
This one is a virtual dinosaur museum tour
(We looked at this one today! The kids really like it! It might be something you do together, becasue there is some reading involved!)
Ok, this is the last one but probably the best!
Found one more! This one is REALLY neat! it is an interactive site that lets you find dinosaurs by continent, see a 3d view of how they move and gather facts! It would be good for guided research.
This outstanding resource is designed for Emergent Readers but could be used by any! Areas to explore are Earth and Space, Animals, and Biographies.
