Mr. Choat one of our fifth grade teachers received the award for Cottonwood
Creek's Teacher Of the Year! This is a huge award that is given every
year to one teacher from our school. Though, Mr. Choat is a fifth grade
teacher he is very well known even in kindergarten! He is one of those
people that shine and make you shine right along with him! WE LOVE Mr.
Choat and are very proud of him! I can say personally, I'm honored to

Delivery From the North Pole...
This morning right after the announcements Mrs. Kastrounis delivered a very cold package! She said that someone very little, with rather large ears handed it to her. It was rapped up tight, in rapping paper. The package was addressed to Miss Lukert's kindergarten class, with a return address listing the North Pole.
We opened the package to find the Elf on the Shelf story
explaining that the elf, who had showed up mysteriously in our classroom this morning was here in order to help Santa. The book told us we needed to give our elf a name, we named her Glitter. The story also told us that she will be watching our
class, reporting to Santa how our behavior is, and coming back the next
day in a different spot! Each day she will be dropping off a little gift, that is if she and Santa think we have been on our best behavior!

Goldilocks and the Three Bears...
All week we have been learning that every story or book has characters, setting and a big idea! We have been comparing and learning with different versions of Goldilocks and the three bears! Today we created our own version of the story!
Today, during math we measured a bears foot and compared it to our own!

Dr. Penny is 60 and She Knows It!
Today
the entire school surprised Dr. Penny with "Peace, Love, Dr. Penny
Day!" She will be surprised with a gift of some sort every hour on the
hour, by each grade level! Our music video debuted at 9:00 this morning
at her principals meeting! Yes, in front of every other principal and
our superintendent! We are beyond blessed to have such an amazing
principal here at Cottonwood Creek; it would take an entire year to show
her how much we truly appreciate her! We love our Dr. Penny!!
