Genius Hour

Every Friday morning Cottonwood Creek students are given an opportunity to work on their passions during "genius hour". This time was inspired by an author named Angela Maiers whom came to our school as well as spoke to some of our CCE parents. 

Today K4 discussed what we can "sprinkle" on the world, how we can help it, and what our goals for the future are! Watch the video below to see what your child can sprinkle on the world.

K4 Loves Mr. Gray!

We are so sad to see Miss Gray, our beloved UNT Student Teacher go.  She has been an amazing asset to our class and has worked very hard to foster positive relationships and develop exciting lessons for your little ones. We gave the gift today and she loved it!

The will love it! As you can see, today we read the Book, "If you Give a Moose a Muffin"!

 

 As we read we discovered that Laura Numeroff uses "cause and effect" in all of the books she has written!

We have began an Aurthur study this week on none other than the, Laura Numeroff! If her name doesn't sound familiar, I bet her books will! 

 

 Yesterday we made a class book on If you Give a Mouse a Cookie but we decided to use ourselves in that scenario! We had some pretty creative ideas... look for a video to come soon so you can see just what we came up with.
